Clarksville Septic & Drainfield: About Our Septic Company in Clarksville, TN

How we work, what things cost, and what we are careful not to claim.

Clarksville Septic & Drainfield is a septic referral service for Clarksville and Montgomery County, Tennessee. When you call, we take down what your system is doing and put you in front of a crew that does that particular work. We do not own a vacuum truck and we do not dig drainfields ourselves, and we would rather say that plainly than let you find out later.

What we will and will not tell you

Plenty of septic websites carry claims that nobody can check: years in business, crew counts, awards, star ratings. We do not publish any of that, because we would be making it up. What we do publish is the part that is checkable and actually useful: the price ranges that come up locally, the rules the state actually applies in this county, and what the ground here does to a drainfield.

The contractors we route work to are licensed and insured, and Tennessee issues permits for septic work rather than licences. Installers are permitted under Rule 0400-48-01-.19 and pumpers under Rule 0400-48-01-.20, and the state publishes who holds what. You are entitled to ask any contractor which permits they hold and to check it yourself, and you should.

What septic work costs around here

We publish ranges rather than hiding behind a quote form, because the single biggest reason people put off septic work is not knowing whether it is a $500 problem or a $15,000 one. Usually it is the first. These are the numbers that come up most often in this county.

Standard residential pump-out: $375 to $700

Tank cleaning on a neglected system: $475 to $1,300

Septic inspection, full with field loading: $450 to $850

Drainfield repair: $1,200 to $9,000

Drainfield replacement: $9,000 to $18,000

Every one of those is a range and none of them is a quote. Call (931) 271-5114 and the price for your property comes in writing before anyone starts work.

Why the pump-out matters more than anything else

A $450 pump-out on schedule is the difference between a tank doing its job and a $9,000 to $18,000 drainfield replacement.

The tank separates solids so that only liquid reaches the drainfield. When the tank is not emptied, solids leave it, enter the field, and plug the soil pores permanently. Nothing reverses that. It is the whole reason a cheap recurring service exists, and it is the service people skip because a working system gives no warning at all.
